WELCOME TO OXFORD OAK CAMPING

FAMILY CAMPING IN THE VALE OF THE WHITE HORSE

About the company

With so many attractions and things to do in the local area, you’re bound to find plenty to keep you active and entertained.

Our campsite is located behind Farmer Gow’s Just of the A420 Oxford to Swindon road. We are very lucky to be in a real beauty spot and have good road links near by. The fabulous views of the Ridgway and the Uffington White Horse are what we think makes ours the best campsite in the area!

We have easy access to a whole host of activities from simply walking or cycling around the beautiful countryside, exploring local towns & villages or perhaps something more adventurous at the local water park, there’s something to suit everyone in the local area.

OXFORD OAK CAMP SITE

The camp site is located in the top field to the rear of Farmer Gow’s, and benefits from being surrounded by hedgerow and has predominantly flat ground, making pitching that much easier, with no obstacles or obstructions.

We have communal fire pits to get everyone in the spirit and you can even purchase the firewood on site. Singing is optional, but fun is compulsory!

We are a sessional site opening April to September with very much a back to basics family focus.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout.

SITE RULES

NOISE LEVELS & MUSIC

Feel free to bring along radios, stereos or musical instruments (No amplifiers or generators) but please respect others on the site and keep volumes down to a respectful level so as not to disturb your neighbours.

For the sake of all campers we would ask everyone to observe a “good night’s sleep” limit on noise levels and must therefore ask that you reduce all noise volumes to an absolute minimum by 10PM and for all music to be off by 11PM. Please bear in mind that there are often youngsters asleep well before this time as well.

FIRES & BBQs

Camp fires are ONLY permitted in the designated fire pits (or off ground portable fire pits). Fire pits cannot be reserved and are there for everyone’s enjoyment and to encourage individuals and groups to get together and enter into the spirit of camping. If you want to absolutely guarantee access to your own fire, you might want to bring a portable fire pit, see below.

Out of season, the campsite is grazed by the livestock belonging to Farmer Gow’s so any grass damage is potentially very costly. It also ruins the area for the campers who use the site after you. If you are discovered damaging the grass, you will be asked to leave. No excuses
